Every year, Brighton Ballet Theater / School of Russian American Ballet holds its two-day "The World of Dance" Festival...
Anticipated by thousands of people each year, the "World of Dance" Festival presents full - stage productions with stunning scenery and distinctive costumes many from premier dance companies. Enjoyed by a thriving and supportive New York cultural community, the Festival is a unique event for community members, families and dance enthusiasts.
The festival, which is seen by many people each year and includes dance pieces from a wide range of national cultures, is a celebration of the diversity and artistic talent in New York community. In addition to featuring professional dancers from some of the leading dance theaters, the festival highlights the achievements of BBT's young dancers, some of them as young as age four. BBT places a major emphasis on creating live stage performance opportunities for its children, and this season-ending spectacular provides a unique opportunity for children to dance alongside professional dancers.
World of Dance Festival Goals:

- To encourage activities and creativity in this field
- To sustain cultural knowledge and ties
- To teach communities about cultural diversity within the performing arts field, while maintaining a family-oriented atmosphere
