Preliminary Dates:
August 16, 2021 - August 30, 2021

Intermediate, Advanced and Pre-Professional dance classes for children with lessons scheduled Monday-Friday 9:00am-3:00 pm.

This program of classical ballet in the Russian tradition is open to serious dancers from 8-18 years old.

In this special two-week intensive, BBT offers its signature small-group instruction led by master teachers, including special guest instructors in a warm and friendly environment. The program is designed for young dancers who seek individualized attention and wish to advance both their technical and artistic skills. By developing a more harmonious system of movement and broadening their expressive range, students will end the summer more confident and prepared to tackle increasingly complex repertoire.

All students must audition for initial placement, which may be adjusted after 2-3 days of class. Pre-registration is required. Please complete the Summer Registration Application and submit to info@brightonballet.org.

Please note that Financial need and merit-based full and partial scholarships are not available for Summer Intensives.

Each week includes 25 hours of classes in the Vaganova (Russian) Method. The curriculum is specially created to meet the needs of the specific students enrolled. Since our classes are very small, instructors can target specific areas of weakness or particular interests expressed by students. Of course, we will offer Pointe Technique (for eligible students), Character Dance, Body Conditioning, Variations, in addition to other more individualized classes with a forty-five-minute lunch-breaks daily enjoying refreshing ocean breeze outside. Students must bring their own lunch. Healthy snacks such as fruits, vegetables and cracks will be provided by BBT daily.
