Intermediate, Advanced, and Pre-Professional dance classes for children with lessons scheduled Monday-Friday 9:00 am-3:00 pm.
This classical ballet program in the Vaganova method is open to severe dancers from 8-18 years old.
In this unique two-week intensive, Brighton Ballet Theater offers its signature small-group instruction led by master teachers, including exceptional guest instructors, in a warm and friendly environment. The program is designed for young dancers who seek individualized attention and wish to advance both their technical and artistic skills. By developing a more unified system of movement and broadening their expressive range, students will end the summer more confident and prepared to tackle increasingly complex repertoire.
All students must audition for initial placement, which may be adjusted after 2-3 days of class. Pre-registration is required. Please complete the Summer Registration Application Register.
Financial needs and merit-based full and partial scholarships are unavailable for Summer Intensives.
Each week includes 25 hours of classes in the Vaganova Method. The curriculum is specially created to meet the needs of the specific students enrolled. Since our classes are minimal, instructors can target specific areas of weakness or particular interests expressed by students. Of course, we will offer Pointe Technique (for eligible students), Character Dance, Body Conditioning and Variations, and other more individualized classes with forty-five-minute lunch breaks daily, enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze outside. Students must bring their lunch. Healthy snacks such as fruits, vegetables, and crack will be provided by Brighton Ballet Theater daily.
