Brighton Ballet Theatre/School of Russian American Ballet is a non-profit organization and cultural oasis bringing the art of dance to more than 300 children, teens, and adults annually in Brooklyn. Our students learn not only the Vaganova method of classical ballet, but also character dance, contemporary, modern, and gymnastics for ballet at a very high level. All of these modalities enhance and complement serious ballet studies.
We offer three different categories of instruction, including a Children's Division for the youngest students, an Open Division and a Pre-professional (Advanced) Division so that everyone can participate in classes that best suit their ability and interest, no matter the level. Our Junior Company is also quite special, for the rare opportunity it provides children to acquire stage experience from a young age.
Since 1987 our faculty, who have graduated from the best ballet schools and colleges in the former Soviet Union and the United States, and who has performed around the world, have helped thousands of dancers gain the skills they need for life-long health, creativity, self-discipline, personal responsibility, and professional success.
