Brighton Ballet Theater is looking for talented young dancers to perform in our annual production of The Nutcracker.
This is an exciting opportunity for dancers to perform on stage, work with professional artistic staff, and become part of a production that has inspired audiences for decades.
Whether you dream of dancing as a Snowflake, Soldier, Party Child, Mouse, or one of the beautiful Kingdom characters, we invite you to audition.
Who Can Audition?
Workshop & Open Audition
We welcome dancers:

Ages 6-18
-
Ballet experience required - min 2 years
(level varies by role)

Boys and girls are encourages to audition

Student from all dance schools are welcome
Open Audition: Monday, August 24, 2026
3pm - 5pm (Ages 6-8)
5pm - 7pm (Ages 9-12)
7pm - 9pm (Ages 13-18)
+ Mandatory Workshop - $50
During the workshop, dancers will:
Strengthen classical ballet technique
Learn choreography from BBT-The Nutcracker
Improve artistry and stage presence
Receive coaching from Brighton Ballet Theater’s professional faculty
Gain valuable audition experience
Prepare for casting in the production

*No prepared solo is required
Performance Schedule
Rehearsals begin after September 10, 2026, on Sundays. The time will be determined depending on the role.
Performers are expected to attend scheduled rehearsals and commit to the production through the final performance on December 20, 2026, Time: TBA.
Additional performance on December 14, 2026 at Queensboro Peck at 9 AM.
